What is the value of textiles design in a technology acceptance context? The project illustrates how sensory devices and smart objects are welcomed into a home through aesthetic textiles design. Hard plastic sensors are replaced with soft smart textiles sensors in the shape of a ball. The outer layer of the ball is made out of high quality textiles yarn through Jaquard weaving technique. The sensory soft ball is placed on the sofato result in a perfect blend.
This project is funded and executed at the Polytecnical University of Madrid and tested in the Digital Living Lab.
